Position Goal: Ensure all cash accounts have accurate balances for management and internal use.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate cash accounts for HCO daily.
  • Oversight of accounts payable invoices and payments ensuring that payments are timely and accurate.
  • Pull cash reports from bank, use those to record all activites on Daily Cash Report and Cash Summary daily.
  • Record entries on spreadsheet, keep accurate account of all cash account transfers. (to and from accounts)
  • Work with payroll coordinator to esnure proper recording of payroll entries from payroll system, taxes, and checks.
  • Work with payroll to update and reconcile employee's deductions such as bankruptcy, garnishments, and payroll deduction items.
  • Work with payroll to ensure payroll taxes paid, complete quarterly and yearly payroll reports, and prepare W2's for all entities.
  • Record all account transfers, bank fees, interest, physician expenses, and distributions.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries/financial statements for HCO. Evaluates P & L statements for necessary accruals and other journal entries.
  • Develops and maintains financial management information systems and corrects errors.
  • Conducts reconciliation of balance sheet asset and liability accounts to ensure correctness. Identifies and resolves discrepancies.
  • Works with VP of Finance to transfer funds as needed.
  • Helps create and upload all budgets into Great Plains.
  • Creates and distributes budget variance reports to all supervisors on a monthly basis and assists in answering any questions associated with budgets.
  • Prepares required audit work. Assists external auditors as needed.
  • Participates in professional development activities.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience: Three (3) years accounting experience required.
Education: Four (4) year degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or minimum of Five (5) years office accounting experience.
